1. Name and Purpose
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Robotik (DGR) is a non-profit association registered in Germany.
Our Mission:
- Connect researchers, industry professionals, startups, and educators in robotics
- Foster collaboration and knowledge exchange across Germany
- Promote robotics research, development, and education
- Represent German robotics interests nationally and internationally
2. Membership
Who Can Join:
- Regular members: Natural persons (researchers, engineers, students, enthusiasts) and corporate members (universities, research institutes, companies).
- Associated members: Individuals or entities. No voting rights in the General Assembly.
- Honorary members: Appointed by the General Assembly. Exempt from membership fees.
Membership Fees:
Annual fees are determined by the Board in the Beitragsordnung (membership fee regulations) which is submitted to the general assembly for approval.
3. Organization
Board (Vorstand)
- Elected by members for 3-year terms
- Responsible for day-to-day management
- Represents the association legally
General Assembly
- Meets at least once per year
- Regular and honorary members are entitled to vote
- Decides on major issues: budget, statute changes, board elections
Advisory Board (Optional)
- May include experts and supporters
- Provides strategic guidance
4. Finances
- DGR is a non-profit organization (gemeinnützig)
- Funded by membership fees, donations, and grants
- All funds support the association's mission
- Annual financial reports presented to members
5. Dissolution
If the association dissolves, remaining assets go to another non-profit organization with similar purposes in robotics, science, or education.
