1. Name and Purpose
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Robotik (DGR) is a non-profit association registered in Germany.
Our Mission:
- Connect researchers, industry professionals, startups, and educators in robotics
- Foster collaboration and knowledge exchange across Germany
- Promote robotics research, development, and education
- Represent German robotics interests nationally and internationally
2. Membership
Who Can Join:
- Individual members: Researchers, engineers, students, and robotics enthusiasts
- Corporate members: Companies, research institutes, and organizations
Member Benefits:
- Access to networking events and conferences
- Participation in working groups and initiatives
- Voting rights in general assemblies
- Reduced fees for DGR events
Membership Fees:
Annual fees are determined by the general assembly and vary by membership type.
3. Organization
Board (Vorstand)
- Elected by members for 2-year terms
- Responsible for day-to-day management
- Represents the association legally
General Assembly
- Meets at least once per year
- All members have voting rights
- Decides on major issues: budget, statute changes, board elections
Advisory Board (Optional)
- May include experts and supporters
- Provides strategic guidance
4. Finances
- DGR is a non-profit organization (gemeinnützig)
- Funded by membership fees, donations, and grants
- All funds support the association's mission
- Annual financial reports presented to members
5. Dissolution
If the association dissolves, remaining assets go to another non-profit organization with similar purposes in robotics, science, or education.
